Lord of the Rings 3D Billboards Leave a lasting with out using a single word. LOTR is very popular movie trilogy full of mystical creatures and enchanted lands. These bill boards are giant lifelike recreations of some of the movies characters. These giant Creatures were created and displayed throughout New Zealand on everywhere from hotels to shopping centers. Nazgual the dragon, Smeagul and Gollum the troll and the dark knight who was once a peacefully hobbit but was transformed by the ring!

Falling Down Stairs Optical Illusion is one of those creepy and some what morbid warning optical illusions much like the drowned kid illusion.  The lady at the bottom of the stairs looks very realistic and im sure has startled many shoppers approaching the escalator. High resolution stickers like this the walk into glass ad or the anti drinking and driving ad can make some great 3D images that look very realistic.

Shadow Faces Optical Illusion is more of a contemporary art kind of illusion.  From a distance you would just see funny little squares of paper up on the wall, but when a light is cast on to them they reveal some very distinct shadows of human faces.   Its amazing what you can create with a little ingenuity, I have no clue who the artists is of this cool optical illusion so be sure to post it if you know! Optical Illusion Speed Bumps are a new innovative idea aimed at slowing down drivers on the road. From a distance these perspective triangles look like small pyramids on the road.  These “speed bumps” are currently being tested and deployed in business and residential areas in Philadelphia.  As most of you might expect the novelty would wear off and after a few month drives would become accustom to this illusion and resume higher speeds; in an effort to combat them real police officer are randomly monitoring them ensuring motorist are obeying the slower posted sped limits.  What do you think about this idea? at the price of about 70$ its alot more affordable then an 800$ speed bump.. would they slow you down? I mean hey, I would probally slow down just to check out the funky street art

3D Two Dimensional Fly Optical Illusion is one strange image. The fly it self is 2d like an old school comic, but on the other hand its 3d in respect to the fact that is come out at you over many objects and angles. The first Giant Fly was created back in 1982 in the Bronx in New York. The second fly was also done in 82 in San Fransisco, i’m assuming it the same artists either that or a dedicated copy cat! Well enjoy your three dimensional 2D flash back from the 80’s style optical illusions.

The Thing Theater Optical Illusion was a promotional optical illusion created for the Marvel Comics Fantastic4,  in 1981 the PS 31 theater in the Bronx in NY was the lucky subject of this marvelous piece of art.  Justen Ladda drew this three dimensional Thing using an image projected on to the seats then painting the areas where the light hit. This technique was also used to do the 3D painted rooms.
