Under water sculptures are not something you see every day. I got certified for scuba diving a few years back and tend to get excited when i find anything different underwater.. Just imagine swimming up to this 18′ tall rock giant lurking under sea. This masterpiece was created by the artist Jason deCaires Taulor. Jason has numerous works of under masterpieces such as the underwater sculpture park. Jasons latest sculpture is located off the coast of Nassau in the bahamas.
In effort to keep to add beauty with out affecting the environment the statue is made from a PH-neutral cement. This marine safe compound allows for corals and other reef inhabitants to thrive and create a natural reef around the underwater art. If you are ever in Nassau be sure to put on those flippers and snorkel or dive out to see this underwater work of art.
Cross breading animals can come up with some interesting new species. Have you ever wondered what an aligator brid, monky dog, lion kangeroo or wolf brid would look like? Mother nature tries to prevent this by making different species unable to mate and reproduce. Scientists have found ways around this by combining different DNA strans to produce some strange breeds. In this case the cross breading with done by an artist with some good photoshop skills.
The Upside Down House from Trassenheide Germany was built as an artistic project by udiusz Golos and Sebastion Mikuciuk. Unlike most upside down houses this house isnt just a shell but a fully furnished completely upside down. It would be one trippy house to walk though, also be sure to check out this upside down statue. Do you think you could actually live in that house? It would defiantly mess with your head after a while!
Shadow art can be a tricky but very creative ay to create something amazing out of rubbish. This Headhunter illusions was sent to me a few weeks ago and has been sitting on my desktop for a few weeks as i have finally had the time to post it. I’m not sure ho the author is but its incredibly similar to the shadow art by Tim Noble and Sue Webber. You may also want to check out the shadow heads but some of my favorites are the zebra and camel shadows shot national geographic.

Ray and Maria Strata center is a marvelous 720,000 sqft educational building designed by Frank Gehry. This architectural masterpiece was built in 2004. The building was heavily founded Bill Gates and Alexander Dreyfoos who have a tower of the building named after each of them. For some more architectural art check out the Quebec City Murals or Melting buildings in Paris.
3D Painted Illusion Rooms is a new update to the 3D Painted Rooms collection. These amazing paintings are created using light to project the image onto the warped surface. This gives you a a guideline on where to paint to keep things into perspective. Some of the more advanced ones like Marvels The Thing Theater Painting were probably done with an image projected using an old overheard projector. This new collection i believe was done by the same artist, Felice Varini. His work is becoming quite well known with an ever increasing gallery of optical illusion art. Another recent cool one is the 3d painted face.

Architectural Optical Illusion is a pretty strange picture. This building is actually the Olympic Stadium in Montreal. The first question you have to ask your self was this planned? The curve in the tree is identical the the strange curvature of the building. I believe its an Olympic center some where.. This Extreme Architecture is pretty cool, and I would love to see more of it 🙂 Was this planned? or just a strange coincidence?
Clouds Optical Illusions are created using common objects with clouds as your paint and the sky as your canvas. Using some creative props and angles you can come up with some pretty amazing shots. Similar illusions like the Statue Blowing the Clouds and spraying out the clouds. Although not all of these are created by special perspectives. One of Mother natures great phanomana’s Mammatus Clouds which are a spectacular site to see!
George of the Jungle Illusion was randomly submitted by one of our viewers so im not to sure who the creator of this image is. This Photo is kind of a cute picture, the scene is setup so it appears that little George and his brother are swinging on vines through the jungle. This photo is one even Tarzan could appreciate 🙂
Floorless Bathroom Optical Illusion is one place that would be a freaky place to go to the wash room. Imagine sitting on the toilet looking down hundreds of miles below, just don’t loose your balance! Like the Elevator Optical Illusion a little artistic can go along way in creating stunning optical illusions. Im not sure if any of you have stood on the CN Towers glass floor but it is defiantly a sprang feeling looking so far down.
