Leaning Tower Optical Illusions

Leaning Tower Optical Illusions are really just perspective illusions.  By lining up objects and different depths you can create an optical illusion that they are the same or similar size, in this case leaning towers. The first picture is the famous Leaning tower of Pisa.
The second picture of a clock tower was taken at Puzzling World in New Zealand.

Light Graffiti Optical Illusions

Light Graffiti Optical Illusions are created using lights and long camera exposures. With these long exposures the camera holds the shutter open for a specified amount of time, mean while you can quickly draw objects with light, leaving an lasting impression of the light onto the film. Most of these light drawings are made using either glow sticks, leds, flashlights or laser pointers.  Camera exposure times can vary depending on the ambient surrounding light and the time needed to draw your creations. These illusions are fairly easy to make and are a pretty cool effect!  Pull out the digital and be creative, and dont forget to submit your masterpieces!

3D Concave Monkey Optical Illusion

3D Concave Monkey Optical Illusion is a an illusion shot by mrettig.  This is a classic example of the Hollow Face Optical Illusion. Due to the back lit lighting this monkeys face appears to be 3D and popping out at you. In fact it is actually a convex shape, and the photo is taken looking into the back of the mask where your face would normally go. For a demonstration of exactly how this illusions works check out the Hollow Face Video Optical Illusion.

Little People Optical Illusion

Little People Optical Illusion is a perspective optical illusion similar to the miniature people optical illusion. When playing with your camera lining up people at different people within close and further depths can gives some pretty cool shots. Then of course you could always just find some munchkins or umpalumpas! Another classic example of a perspective optical illusion is Ames room  which appears cubic but in actuality is a very oblong shape, viewed straight on gives a very cool perspective illusion.

Floating Boat Optical Illusion

Floating Boat Optical Illusion is a very cool picture. The boat appears to be floating in thin air! Im sure we have all seen hover crafts but they generally ride on very small cousin of air and this little row boat sure inst packing a giant fan underneath! The trick here is the shadow, which is normally how you tell how far off the ground it is..  IS the shadow on top or underwater? Well on the topic of the sea be sure to check out this incredible Underwater Sculpture Park.
