Madonna Mosaic

The Madonna Mosaics were recently submitted by one of our viewers. The first Madonna mosaic is made up of a large number of vanity flair magazine covers. The second is a large image of Madonna made up of many smaller pictures of Madonna!  Also check out the Bush Mosaic. There are may programs out there that will create mosaics like these simply by inputting a bunch of pictures, if you have created any of your own be sure to send them in.

Ferris wheel Optical Illusion

The Ferris Wheel Optical Illusion was submitted by one of your users. This image is based off some of the more well known static animation illusions like the moving gears, spinning circles, or the spinning tunnels optical illusion. These images work by using different shading techniques that cause your eye to shift around giving the objects the illusion that they are moving. It doesn’t always work right away for everyone but generally if you stare at one of the circles the other ones will start to move around the ones you are focusing on.  Try it out and let me know if it works for you.

Creative Advertising – Street ads

Creative ads are everywhere these days, its almost a necessity to have eye catching advertisements in order to be seen these days.  Everywhere you look these days is an advertisement in one way or another. This street ad I found to be fairly clever. The statue underneath is being rebuilt, and these nice advertisers are flipping the bill! It no matter which way you look at the tarp around the statue the image appears to blend into its surroundings.  Just think if you can sell ads on a tarp while you chisel away a new statue you can sell ads anywhere!

Painted Cigarette

The Painted Cigarette is a pretty cool self portrait style illusions I found on flickrHawhawjames has some pretty crazy self portraits, everything from zebras to gremlin type creatures, so if i have a chance check it out.  The Painted Cigarette below caught my eye cause it looks fairly real and fool most people without closer inspection.  Just think how much fun you could have walking through malls and restaurants with this face paint job.. especially  the non smoking ones 🙂

Invisible Man

The Invisible Man was originality a classic novel written by H.G. Wells that was later turned  into a movie in 1933.  Recently in 2000-2002 it was recreated as a T.V. series.  The ever popular invisible man has been a fictional character that has captivated young minds of the power to move unseen. This photo was taken is Las Rambla, Barcelona by Shamus O’Reilly.  This spectacualr recreation of the Invisible man would defiantly be a street stopper piece of art.

Leaning Tower of Wanaka

Leaning Tower of Wanaka is part of a display at Puzzling World in New Zealand.  Leaning tower optical illusions are usually just that, an optical illusion.. but in the case well the tower isnt actually all that vertical. Puzzeling world offers tuns of great illusions such as ames room,  puzzles, a giant maze and tuns of mind games. I cant say I have personally been there yet, but its defiantly on my list!
