The Moon Illusion

The summer moon often plays many tricks on your eyes. When rises in the east it appears very large when it first peaks over the horizon. This is what is referred to as the moon illusion. When you first see the moon it looks incredibly big to the human eye but oddly enough cameras don’t see it but your eyes do; this is the real illusion.

No matter what position in the sky the moon is it is always the exact same size, as of why this illusion occurs.. Scientist are still not 100% sure. One thingis for sure, the best time to view this illusion is when the moon first rise!

This 3D murals were done by an unknown artist, if anyone knows who it is be sure to let me know. They are very realistic and would fool anyone from a distance. Perspective paintings is hard to master but as you can see once you have got it down you can do amazing things.

Static Movement Optical Illusion

Static Movement Optical Illusion shows a simple image that is a static jpg, that appears to be waving around like a flag. This illusion is caused but the light and dark edges along the side of the bean shaped objects, as your eyes move from side to side of the image it, the dark/light borders cause yours eyes to shift giving it the illusion of motion.

These 10 Incredible Driftwood Horses have all been hand crafted out of large pieces of driftwood. the mastermind behind this beautiful pieces of art is Heather Jansch. Heather being the horse loving, never letting anything slow her down kinda girl began building these horse sculptures and now has a full gallery and exhibition of them. Heather has even started to build bronze sculptures of these magnificent creatures.

When I first saw these pictures it was almost creepy.. at a glance it almost looked like the skeleton of a horse or a horse with no skin. but once you take a closer look you see the true beauty of these old chunks of driftwood. Also check out the Tire Horse Sculpture!

Never ending Bridge Optical Illusion

The Never ending Bridge Optical Illusion is mural painted at the end of a bridge, it gives the illusion that the bridge goes on for ever, its very deceiving an even tricked the person who took the photos originally!

These type of murals are based on perspective and placed in areas then when looked at from the right direction give some incredible illusions. Perceptions illusions are some of my favorite and can change in an instance depending the angle you are viewing them in.

The Gas Pump Optical Illusion is from the series of wrong job advertisements Optical Illusions By a UK employment company. Check out the Lifes to short ABM Machine and Photo Machine Optical Illusions. And last but not least the Coffee Machine Optical Illusions. I wish they had some of those illusions where I lived defiantly entertaining.

This Gas pump Illusion futures a poor sole trapped inside of that gas pump pumping his heart out to fill up your car. That really would be a horrible job.. he cant even stand up straight!
