The Descent Dali Skull Illusion

The Descent Skull Illusion is a more obvious recreation of the Silence of the Lambs Optical Illusion. If you look at the shape of the girls on this cover you will notice that they form the shape of a skull. On the Silence of the Lambs cover, there is this same image but with nude girls on the head of the moth! Originally this skull was based off an old painting called the Dali Skull. So enjoy your tidbit of movie and check out some of these Scary Optical Illusions.

The All is Vanity Skull Mirror illusion was originally created by Charles Allen Gilbert. The first image below is advertisement based on the original (second image below). The add was created by David Bertman in Perris. This Vanity illusion was a collaborative effort by his team at CLM/BBDO. It took the perfect angle to get this shot right an inch to the left or right would ruin the mood of the illusion. The award winning image titled POISON beacame the perfect ad for “Dior Poison”.

3D Street chalk Drawings

3D Street chalk Drawings are some amazing new creations by a Julian Beaver style artist, Eduardor Relero. The set below is new to even myself who is in love with these kind of 3D Chalk Optical Illusions.  These amazing chalk drawings span the streets of Spain attracting locals and tourists alike while sending messages about things such as poverty. The creepy baby head has to be one of my favorites for some reason, it kind of reminds me of something out of a horror movie.  The man starting down at the carving of himself in the pit is also very well done. What do you guys thing of these new masterpieces? Whats your favorite?

silence of the lambs Optical illusion

The Silence of the Lambs Optical Illusion is based on the origin of the skull on the moth of the cover. The Death’s Head Moth features a skull over its head, but the skull is not an actual Skull. The Skull was originally the Dali Portrait which features nude women arranged in such a way to make the outline of a skull.

Manny did not notice this til much after the the movie was released, if you still haven’t seen it.. check it out! this illusion is very fitting for the movie.   Also check out the newest recreation of the Dali skull in The Decent Movie Cover.
